Renting a car can be a challenge AND it's expensive,
so we suggest that most guests
take a taxi to get around. We always call Jackie
and his wife Manuletha Bootle when we need a taxi. They are good friends
of ours, and will meet you at the airport when you arrive if you call
ahead of your arrival at 242-375-9675.
Most taxis are really mini-vans which can comfortably carry at least four people
with luggage. Tipping is standard practice and not included in the fares
below.
Fares are fixed by the government for
travel by two passengers. Additional passengers may be
subject to a small surcharge.
Fares can be negotiated for other
destinations. Many taxi drivers are also willing to extend their services
to provide shopping and sight-seeing excursions for a fixed rate.
